A bullet pierces his armor and into his chest,
Nothing else could've put that soldier to rest.
To G Dubya a penny was all that you were,
You were some copper dropped on the floor.
You fought for your country and died for a cause,
A cause that was made up of a lie by your boss.
Your son was just six and he did not know you,
Even though it was he you cried to come home to.
At seven it's tough to be on your own,
With no one to catch the ball that you've thrown
Just think of the life that you could have had,
If only you'd only realized that good could be bad
Now this boy will grow up not knowing his dad,
And he will be lied to just as you were once had
He will then join the army just as you did,
Not knowing the truth of the lies that were hid
If we all stay so blind this will go on forever,
Your kin will be used and understand we will never
Until all of you will please just open your eyes,
It's not that hard to see all the lies
You tried and you tried and you tried once again,
but the lies and the lies have pulled you right in
As parents we know our kids are like clones,
But we can not let our children be drones.
